Nova Wilde is a touring alt-rock artist. They have released eight records and are about to release a ninth. Every one of them came out without a label, which is less romantic than it sounds and mostly means the admin lands on the same desk as the songwriting.

How the records get made

Written at home, tracked in whatever room is available, mixed by someone who has done all eight. The band that plays them live is four people, and three of them have been there since the second record.

Why direct

Selling records and tickets from one page means the money arrives without passing through anyone else, and the mailing list belongs to the band rather than a platform. It also means when something goes wrong with an order, the person who replies is the person who packed it.

The reference site did not have this page

The site this layout was learned from returns a 404 for both about and contact. Those pages were written from scratch rather than inherited, which is the correct way round.
